Most commercial waste agreements renew themselves. Here is what to look for, when to give notice, and how to switch without a gap in service.
Commercial waste rates rarely rise by announcement. They rise by mechanism. Three of them do most of the work:
None of that requires anyone to notify you, which is exactly why it works.
Find the original signature date and the term length. Add the terms that have auto-renewed since. That gives you the current end date; the notice window sits just before it. Put a reminder in your calendar two weeks before the window opens, not on the day it does.
If you cannot find the agreement at all — which is common — the invoice usually names the account and the service address, and the hauler is generally obliged to provide a copy on request.
Send us a recent invoice and the agreement if you have it, and we will identify the window for you in writing at no charge. We do this whether or not you switch, because a customer who knows their own contract is easier to do business with.
The mechanics are straightforward when the sequencing is right:
One note specific to this market: how collection is arranged varies city to city here, so it is worth a quick call before you give notice. See how service works at your address — or just ring us and we will tell you.
